       If I am not considered a minority could I still join the BCBCC?

       Yes, you can still join the Beaufort County Black Chamber of commerce.

       We are an equal opportunity non profit organization who’s primary

       focus is the growth and development of small and minority owned businesses.

      Why The Beaufort County Black Chamber of Commerce?

In 1999 a meeting was held to determine wether a black professional organization was needed in Beaufort to help, create and support entrepreneurship among blacks by Floyd Johnson (BCBCC Founder). Hundreds of people turned out for that meeting. The BCBCC’s mission is to work with businesses identified by the federal government in the protected class(disadvantage business enterprise) that need technical assistance and information related to procurement opportunities, employment, certification, access to capital, business development, networking opportunities, etc. We are the facilitator between the public and private entities looking to expand their participation with disadvantage business enterprises.

      What does the BCBCC offer that other Chambers do not?

       As a member of the BCBCC we offer you:

·        A one on one extensive review with our president and your company’s owner/manager discussing your plan to facilitate so that we may assess our benefits to you.

·        Assistance in LLC Certifications, taxes, Tax IDs and Business ownership education

·        A secured commitment for smaller and/or disadvantaged companies to have better access to bids on contracts with the county and school board.

·        The use of our facility and equipment for office meetings, and gatherings.

    If I am a member of the BCBCC does this exclude my possible membership with  another Chamber?

No, this does not exclude you from being a member of any other Chamber.

Being a member of a Chamber of Commerce is a broad opportunity for you to

network and create relationships with other businesses.

            What can I do to help me decide if this is the right Chamber to join?

 There are at least three Chambers near Beaufort they are: The Beaufort  Regional,

The Hilton head and Bluffton Region, and the Hardeeville Chamber of Commerce.

You don’t have to take our word when it comes to the better choice for your business.

Do some research and attend one of our Chamber functions.
